Anise Seed
Anise seed is well known for flavoring baked goods such as biscotti and anise cookies, but it's also great for dry coughs, bronchitis, heartburn and to increase milk production in nursing mothers.

Prune azaleas for shape and fullness after blooming and feed citrus trees this month.
Flowers to plant this month include alyssum, ageratums, black eyed susans, celosia, cosmos, dahlias, dusty miller, geraniums, goldenrod, impatiens, marigolds, moon vine, morning glory, salvia, verbena and vinca.
Vegetables to plant through March include beans cantaloupe,corn, cucumbers corn, cucumbers, eggplant, luffa, spinach, pepper, pumpkin, peas, squash, tomoato and watermelon.
March herbs include anise, basil, bay laurel, borage, cardamon, chervil, chives, coriander, dill, fennel, ginger, lemon balm, sweet marjoram, Mexican tarragon, mint, oregano, rosemary, sage, thyme. and watercress. |
