Sweet Potato-Apple Bake

You will need 6 sweet potatoes, sliced; 3 tart apples, peeled, cored, sliced; 2 tablespoons olive oil; ¼ teaspoon cinnamon; 1/8 teaspoon cloves; brown sugar (optional). Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place sweet potatoes & apples in baking dish. Combine olive oil, cinnamon & cloves in a bowl & mix well. Drizzle oil mixture over potatoes & apples. Mix gently to cover. Cover dish & bake 1 to 1/1/2 hours or cook in crockpot till tender. You will probably find that this dish does not need any brown sugar, but feel free to add some to taste.
