Why Reiki works is hard to explain. Reiki is one of those things that must be received and used in faith, believe and trust. I find all aspects of Reiki a beautiful mystery, but for me, the most magical of all are distance attunements. Distance healing sessions to me are like powerful energetic prayers. But attunements are a different story. A person awaits the attunement with anticipation, but with really no idea of the powerful energy they will be receiving. The Reiki energy travels through distance and space, and within minutes, the person becomes a conduit of the most unconditionally loving life force energy in the Universe; just as if the Reiki teacher were standing in the same room with the student administering a hands-on attunement. What could be more magical than this?
